This thing with Ross Peltier completely baffles and annoys me. Everyone on the terraces can see that Ross should be in the 17 every week, he's our most dynamic, 'go forward' player. Is he being singled out for the fact that we shipped 40+ points at home to Dons? If so, why? Who is to be singled out and dropped next Friday, having been held responsible for York putting 20 points on us without reply this afternoon? Our best forward was carrying water today.
I agree ross has got fitter and looked the best forward in the games he has played so far. 1st half today was a disgrace. The team played really well second half but was to late we were to far behind. I honestly think the lads don't look to have the fitness for some reason this season today all seemed to be knackered early on in both halves.
If marchy was saying too many missed tackles from Ross, then he needs to look at other players who missed tackles, dropped ball, etc but of course he won't drop them nor have I seen anybody been punished like he does with others, is that favouritism? As for board, well yes they looked disappointed yesterday, along with their friends who came along with them. How long will it be before some changes are being made? Since Marchy been a coach (nearly 4 seasons) we haven't got anywhere we may still continue like this until he goes. It's about high time that the board GF mainly get some backbone in him & start sorting out this mess that we are in, some strong opposition out there & we are not nowhere near heading for promotion. Yesterday looked like some of players never played rugby before, (shaking my head)
“There will be changes next week at York, people can’t be getting into comfort zones and we’ve got a big enough squad which means there is pressure for places and the reserves showed on Thursday night that there are players who can come into this side.
Then the only changes were peltier out esslemont in and Gabriel out Finnigan in.
"Andy Gabriel drops out of the side has he’s unavailable due to work commitments"
Which leaves the Peltier change as the only unforced change, so its a pretty safe assumption after March's comments last week Peltier was dropped because of the Doncaster game.
