Just imagine if they let drug cheats off, just because others had flown under the radar, or salary cap cheats. Where does it stop!
The Police don't let you off speeding just because your neighbour got away with it!
It's a plain disgrace and the RFL should hang their head in shame.
Our club, and others need an immediate and strong objection.
I have only been wrong once and thats because I thought I was wrong but I was wrong I was right!
Petty authoritarians aren’t man enough to challenge the actions of a person face to face; instead they incite a forum of rumour, innuendo and half truths, and impose rude sanctions to discourage those who dare question fairness.
How any club can be allowed to keep points from a game where they played an illegible player is laughable as it has a clear effect on the league. But this is not the fault of Batley but again the RFL failing to get things right first time.Any punishment for the offence should have been backed up by removing points from the offending game ,but as they failed to do this and batley basically keep 3 points earned illegally in the rules of the game.As for us if we did breach rules with clough and I have yet to see any official statement that says so(even though rumours suggest 5 clubs breached them last season). Then we should have been punished last season(yet the rfl were not aware if any clubs breach until this week !!!!! .As we were safe before clough played in these alleged games and we were tonked in both then they had no effect on our league position unlike batleys game. What a mess this and many other reasons are why I never attend CC final GF final or international games,I refuse to give money directly to the idiots that run our game
Even if our Chairman was the sort of person to fight for a bit of right (I don't think he is), what could he really do? The Cougars were not one of the clubs who the breached the rules. Ultimately the decision has been made and it shows the RFL in a very bad light. I agree with Len though, if we don't pick up the required number of points to survive, we don't deserve to. What angers me the most is that March thinks survival will be a great success. I don't agree and I have seen enough games this season and the indifferent performances to think all is not great. I hear various rumours, how true they are I don't know, but it all suggests that March is not a good leader. If we go down we can only blame ourselves, not Batley or the RFL. We've been involved in games where we should have picked up the points and if we had we would not be in this position now. Leigh, Batley, NWC to name a few. I want us to stay up don't get me wrong, but I also think people need to wake up and realise that the set-up of this club is poor and we will never truly move forward under the current leadership. That includes Chairman and Coach. If we survive this season, will we be in the same position again next year? I'm waiting for snipers to shoot me down, but this is just my opinion.

I Agree 100% with every word you have just said. I have been saying the same thing Thia season and last season , sometimes rather vocally

I take your point, but maybe thats the issue, we are not making the most/best of it. There may not be many people willing to invest money in the club, but if the Chairman would listen to the fans and maybe take on board some feedback it may allow the club to grow and move forward. I also believe we were wrong to give Marchy a two year contract in mid season when he have proved nothing. If we were at the top of the table I could of understood it, but we'd just beaten Sheffield and were not even nearly safe. These are the decisions which make me question his judgement.
Just to put this out there, how do we know investors are not keen in putting money in the club? Is it a case that Gary is the only one who is willing, or now unwilling to give it up?
