Looking back, the only thing I can think that Leahy may have thought, is that Sanderson may have ripped the ball slightly before Liam Kay came in and joined the tackle, but judging by the reaction of the Cougars player, even that may be a very tight margin.

Maybe, but it was just so obvious when I saw it on your vid. And if I remember rightly I think the ref pulled up one of our players (Gav Duffy I think...?) for a 2-on-1 steal earlier in the game which was far less blatant than the Donny one.

Regardless of videos it is not a two on one ball steal until the ref says it is. We switched off and he was gone. Need to play what the ref does not what he should have .
Can't really post much on this game as I wasn't there due to my little lad is now playing himself and obviously he comes first now. I have seen the highlights video thanks to Donny but nothing to shout about really and listening to what I've heard about the game it was terrible.
Yes we went on a winning streak but was that even anything to get excited about because in my opinion they were our winable games and no disrespect to Doncaster I honestly thought we would go there and win as well, if you look at our fixtures now all the way to the end of the season its a tough run of games. I have said this a few times to people in recent weeks, ok we might lose a game but I honestly think we cannot afford to lose two games on the bounce and especially if we don't manage to get the bonus point we will be left behind. I am praying we don't get relegated and no matter what anyone thinks its the last thing I want to see happen to us but I just cant change my opinion on this as I believe we are going down. I think we have the players and the quality to be a mid table team at the minute but for me our problem is leadership, it doesn't exist anymore. I even think we are past the point of bringing in a new coach now because we don't have time to start unsettling things even more now.
The comment about the players in cars and minibus, I aren't sure if this is true but I do know the board tried this last year with JD. Something along the lines of using both minibuses and JD to drive one of them to games, JD was furious this was even suggested and it never happened. If true this is a disgrace and a complete showup for our team and club. If true this is a step too far and if they can cut back to this then when are they willing to stop cutting back.
One other thing I have heard is that we have about 3-4 key players that are leaving or hanging their boots up at the end of the season so in my opinion these will be a big loss and how are these guys going to be replaced. How many of our boys are going to start jumping ship before the end of the season if relegation is looking like its going to happen because I know a lot of the lads won't go back down and play at that level and shouldn't because they are not championship one players.
Well i was there yesterday and our players were on a big coach. To those that dont go why come on here and say " i heard" Your just stiring s**t Fans in general dont know what financial situation the club is in. But are we not better with a board of directors that try to keep the clubs finances in check rather than getting us in debt again then jumping ship. If we go down then so be it or would you reather the club spend money it dosnt have and end up in administration again then start another season with a points a points deduction or even worse no club at all
I just wondered about the coach comment and to be honest found it believable but still made the comment of IF TRUE, I was at the club and as I said in my last post it was put to our coach then about minibuses and even the coach driving one so thats why I commented because I wouldn't put anything past them.
I have had two meeting with gary fawcett in the last couple of weeks and I aren't going to disclose the finer details unless I feel I need to but everyone keeps on going about the cash flow problems of the club and this has been going on for the last 3-4 years. Our chairman stated at a Q&A last year I think it was that we were making small weekly profits and I can confirm as I have heard it from the horses mouth that the club is still doing well and making weekly profits. The club has no staff now at all apart from a cleaner, a lady that is in charge of the bars, players and coach and not forgetting gary fawcett who is chairman, accounts, sales, commercial and so on and so on. Everyone else at the club is paid by the foundation or your sporting chance. We haven't had a great deal of winning pay to pay so how can the club still be struggling and believe me I know what I am talking about.
The comment on if we go down then so be it, well if we go down you might as well close the gates for good because it will be the final nail in the coffin in my eyes for our once great club. You only have to look at our season tickets sales this year compared to last years and also see our attendances because if it hadn't been for some of the away supprteres this season so far our attendances would be far less.
It really is showing how much we are relying on away support.
Im not sure how long you have been watching the club but ive been going since the 60s. we have been in far worse positions than we are now and would be if we went down. One massive example is Bradford City, been in the premier league and now in the bottom division of the football league. If we do go down I for one will still be going home and away. Yes its great to watch your team when there on top but they need you more in times like this. Stop complaining and get behind them. If you want to say bad things don't do it on here speak between your mates about it. Bad mouthing creates negativity and that is something that will take effect on the crowd.

Great idea, let's change the name of the board to "The Keighley Cougars Love In". That'll keep the BOD and all those cliques happy down at Cougar Park.

It is hard to see the team struggle like they currently are yet the reality is we are not in the worst possible position YET.
You are correct in your comments about getting behind the team, I have been posting similar comments in recent weeks, I also agree 100% that negativity breeds negativity.
There are people like ourselves that accept how things are, look for a more positive future and help in any way they can (even if only through supporting the team on the field) unfortunately though there are those that look for the negative in everything, that is the way of life for some.
This is not a pop at anyone, just a fact, this forum is for debate, whatever people's opinions but the cougars forum always reads more doom and gloom than others on rlfans
Let's get behind the team! Come on Couuggaaarrrrsssss

Mr Hicks - People will have an opinion that invariably will differ to yours. Does that make you right? I think you need to appreciate this is forum where rumour and news items will be discussed and debated. If you don't like this then maybe it's you that needs to avoid this forum.
If the club is not doing well, which it isn't, people will ask questions and comment. I agree that maybe some are enjoying this dip, but I would not put myself in that bracket. I'll continue to support the club whether in Champ 1 or the conference, but if I don't like something I'll say so. That just the way I am.
For the record, I heard the comment about the coach and have asked the question on the thread. I don't see this as stirring as I have no axe to grind. I felt is was pertinent given the continued comments about the club cutting its cloth.
