With all due respect to yourself Halifax Cougar and no offence meant but the time
to chill out and relax has gone , it's what the Board , Coach and team did last year
and this is where it got us ........ the league of doom , playing xrap rugby against
xrap teams infront of xrap crowds .

After all the rubbish and misguided attempts of chasing justice in the close season
not enough prep has been done. On paper we should have won hands down
against both Barrow and Swinton but as it happened we were outclassed by both teams. The Leigh game was a forgone conclusion , they are full time and against
that alone we had no chance , the whole thing was a complete and utter
nonsence and should never happened. It's not as if there will have been amy money much from it so it beggars belief what our glorious leader was thinking
organising that one.

The Board and Coach must now get together with the team and regroup , to restore
any pride and get them firing on all cylinders to give Gloucester a good hammering

I hate to disagree with you Burley but is time for the board to learn from last years mistakes and get together with some of tbe 'team' and get a taxi for Terry March (see Viz), and his brother, and his overpaid and overrated mates who have their snouts in the trough, before it is too late.

I can understand people being annoyed at the style of the game and the result, I am too, but it was only a friendly.

I believe their coach said they would play their 1st 17 and treat it like a league match, it showed. They were determined and desperate to win (note the drop goal at the end) whereas we ambled around like strangers for the first half with tissue paper for defence. When we actually started to play we looked very good, with some slick fast passing and attacks to both wings.

After last years debacle I said this year would be tougher than some would like to think and I certainly don't see us as favourites, we have the wrong attitude to "lesser" games. But neither do I read too much into glorified training sessions.

It would be nice though, if the real Keighley Cougars could please stand up.

I have only been wrong once and thats because I thought I was wrong but I was wrong I was right!

I agree with everything you say Ed turner , I was just putting a positive
spin on it with the hope that it improves for when the season's league games start.

Yep to that Dreamer , put the 3 xrap games behind us , let's have a cricket score against Gloucestershire and start again from there.

God help us all if we lose to the All Golds on Saturday.

This place will turn into a St Valentine's Day Massacre.

In fairness you got back in to the game when Swinton were reduced to 12 players and worked the extra man really well, once we were back to a full compliment it's fair to say we regained the upper hand. I've no doubt that Keighley will be in the mix come the business end of the season. Good luck to your club.

To be honest, I don't think you learn too much from that. However, it will be our fourth friendly so its fair for fans to expect players and tactics to look sharper and honed toward full on league performance.

I would hope that by the time we face Newcastle we know and play our best 17 and give it a real dig.

As long as everyone we play this season has 1 less player we'll do ok...
Defence needs a lot of work in my opinion, we need to be much faster getting back 10 and then stopping their attack making as much distance (or running around the sides).

I understand Burley has acquired a "Chicago Typewriter" so maybe a few upstairs should take cover
