Agreed.
I spoke with Gary yesterday about this very thing, the good news is that the club would be happy to rename the stand.
There are costs attached to this that clearly the club are not in a position to meet, as already stated in another thread, there is so much work that needs doing at the club already and the money is not there to carry out these works.
To have a sign manufactured and fitted is expected to cost towards the £3000 mark, if WE want this to happen then we need to get our heads together on how we can raise this money.
I have requested that there be a bucket collection at the first home game of the season, I have buckets so we will need 2 or 3 people to volunteer to collect, is anyone able to volunteer or know anyone who would be willing to do so?
The funds have already been kicked off with a £100 donation from Gary Fawcett himself, I am happy to collect all donations and liaise with the club for this to happen, I will also write to the Keighley News to ask for their support in publicising this fund raising.
Does anyone have any ideas on how further money can be raised?
Let's use this thread to generate ideas and the money to make this happen.

Wonder if any of the sign writing companies would sponsor making a big "Hollindrake Stand" sign. Could have 'sponsored by ...'in small print. Maybe Steeton hall nursing home would help in the circumstances?

Terry was a regular at Branshaw Golf Club, I'm sure they will be remembering him in some way, perhaps they can get together with KRLFC to help fund via donations etc?

I agree it is not a small sum of money, having purchased a banner last year i can tell you that the costs of signage is not cheap, it also has to be taken into consideration that equipment will need to be transported and hired and it will take a fair amount of time and labour to remove the old signage and fix the new signage
If you can get a hold of a cherry picker through sponsorship and signage through sponsorship also then please let me know, other than that this money needs to be raised
Thinking caps, teamwork, effort is required to get us what we want

Sign and design have offered to fund the s lettering and labour - a huge thanks to Warren for this.
I am awaiting a cost breakdown of materials and cherry picker hire and labour, does anyone know of anyone in the business to loan a cherry picker for 24-48 hrs, the company involved would be thanked publically through the press and stand renaming ceremony

Still awaiting the revised costs of having this sign changed.
Simon at A1 stairlifts is pulling out the stops, hopefully we will be able to borrow a scissor lift, labour is donated with sign and design leaving some cost for materials
in the kitty so far is 100 from GF and another 116 from the team draw sheet X2 on Sunday at the match.
Thank you to everyone taking part in the team draw sheets on Sunday, hoping to do this for the next few games then review where we are at re costs
