This from the clubs perspective surprises me considering the RFL were due to respond by close of play yesterday? We've heard nothing from the club or Gary so has a settlement been agreed?

Secondly, why would the club contact the RFL about fixtures yesterday of all days. Shouldn't we be chasing the statement or whatever the RFL promised?

Personally, knowing from past experience how they work, I would have perused the injunction and had that in the back pocket for 12pm yesterday failing any response. From Sunday I really don't know what an EGM can achieve and any clubs support for our case would be diluted due the fixtures being released. I think the club played this very well initially, but think we've dropped the ball lately and have let the RFL wriggle out of this.

Couldn't agree more i for one am not surprised with the club they didn't set out going after one clear outcome but several that in turn has let the RFL off the hook and we just look like a club winging at any thing the RFL do now

returning to the support the club this season cant believe its in the same state as when i left many years ago being screwed by the the rugby league

As for the club itself cant believe how poor its got and how mismanaged it is the grounds in a poor state and can see why away supporters say it's sh*te here
I cant see no clear business plan at the club very little community involvement and a negative atmosphere from some staff and supporters
after coming down for the first match of the season with a more positive look at the game and club then when i left thought i had made a good choice as to where i spent my money on a Sunday but as the season has progressed and talking to people at the club and other supporters i feel it was a waist of money and time the clubs is back in the same situation with the RFL
The clubs being run by a failed business man (internet search of past business ventures) hes full of broken promises can see why the the RFL might have little respect for him
A lot of people including myself have said all the club needs is investment cant see that happening with the current board of directors in charge no business man will hand over large amount of cash to the club as it stands
As for the team and the coach seems cougar park pitch has been turned into a retirement home (Rebrand ?? thread) for Pauls buddies and very little attention being given to the home grown talent
as you can tell from this post i will be following the club from a far next season no more money thrown at people that don't seem to have a plan for the future of the club and are quite happy running it hand to mouth
Been a pleasure sharing the terraces with the home and away supporters will miss the banter
To quote a song (you can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness) seems that's what has happened to the many supporters that follow the club shrug shoulders what can we do about it
one season ticket for sale same price as i paid for it £140 with replica shirt (good luck getting the shirt after last seasons farce and waiting)
also anyone want to take my place at the sponsors night to collect and keep jack lee shirt are quite welcome PM me

At no point did I say the club were pursuing the fixtures, I said I was as I've been tasked with getting the list from the RFL and publishing on Sunday.

That suggests to me you were in contact with the RFL about fixtures. Your words not mine. I think there were bigger issues at hand than the fixtures, maybe a response as promised.

As our so called media manager, rather than arguing about what you did/did not say (proof above), can you add some clarity on the current situation to fans please. The next steps, what have the RFL done, the EGM because it's all gone a bit quiet. Fans will form their own opinions in the absence of clarity so maybe now would be a good time. I expect nothing, but Gary has taken to the press quite a lot recently but yesterday has been and gone!

But don't shoot the messenger; fans now need to hear something from the directors....

Right now, I know as much as the rest of you.

Unfortunately, I can only do as instructed and I was instructed to get the fixtures and I have.

Plus, the RFL would only speak to Gary on this matter anyways, I've tried and got told squat when speaking with Red Hall.

Great post Steve , says what a lot of people won't or daren't......just as I feel to be honest.
I was Clinging on to the fact that the RFL would come round and see the injustice that had yet again been served to us , How stupid was I . But , lets face it , we had a terrible season , does not matter whether it was better than last season statistically or not , we were relegated. We knew we had to stay up ....the prize ? better games better gates and a bigger pot of money being shared out . oh , and that slightest chink in the gate to Super League was there ..... now we will never know as the way things are being run I can see us being in Ch 1 for a while at least.
Then We hear we have lost one of our better players to a rival team after signing for us , stating in the Keighley news the reasons why . It didn't take much understanding of Busters interview why he left....plainly obvious to me and am sure many others. What do we get in return for Buster ? A hasbeen with a bad back..... Yes , as you can see , I am not a fan of the March Brothers ...... P. March led us to relegation this last season when many of the games were winable . where are two of them gonna lead us next season ??? the mind boggles.
I have been supporting Keighley cougars for 35 years now , but the last season may just have been the last.
No ambition , no direction , no money and carp rugby against carp clubs next season.....oh goody.
I may yet just have to do a charge back on the paypal payment and have my money returned for my season ticket unless something changes for the better ..... a new coach would be a good start .

These are my opinions posted on an open forum , I really cannot be arsed with a slanging match , I will debate with anyone but will not enter into a slanging match or put up with schoolboy name calling.

I personally don't see the loss of Buster that huge, as a hooker Luke Haigh has made more impression to me. We need a solid captain, but I think we have a decent team still and lots of youngsters. I think you are wrong about P March, look how crap Kear performed and he is a highly regarded coach. Essentially this season we were outrageously unlucky! Surely you can see that? Almost in the playoffs, by a matter of 1 minute.

Burley you could be abandoning a rejuvenated team next year, good luck getting your PayPal money back. On what grounds?
