Firstly, I've nothing against you or other Batley fans and I admire the way you have steadily and progressively improved your ground.
Batleys excuse has changed from "ignorance of the rules" to "please sir, the rfl told us to do it" which are both an irrelevance to the points docking, as is claiming precedent. This years relegation system is completely different and you stood to influence the final standings, thus making precedent null and void. The player concerned was ineligible and influenced a game you won by scoring a try. There is only one just punishment and that is by docking at least 3 points ( a match win). Some even said (Doncaster were amongst this group) at the time that you should be docked 3 to expunge the win and a further 3 as punishment!!
If you have a case for the RFL giving misleading information then you should pursue them for financial compensation.
A good legal eagle will drive a coach and horses through your argument, it's a question of if we have the money to do it.
