I agree with Rach a much improved performance. I thought the white shirts made the team look much bigger and was easier to see.
Need to build on this at Dewsbury.

The away shirt could be lucky, use it at Dewsbury :-)

I agree with Rach and also the above comments about the white kit.

Just coz I can't get to every home game it doesn't make me a bad person

I certainly won't argue with that.

Great to see the lads get a win at last yesterday. Good work all over the pitch - a real team effort which paid off. Dewsbury will be a tougher nut to crack - got to put that hard work in again to get a result there. Any chance Cosgrove could stay with us a bit longer? I was on the scrattin shed side terrace yesterday and he was over that side for the first half; by eck he wasn't half getting stuck into his task, and then he popped up with the interception as well. A great game for him.
.
The kit: can we please have a white home kit next season with our red & green 'V' on it. Like Wakefield's this season but swap their blue for our green.

We are from Keighley. We are NOT Bradfordians.

or, even better, the Sydney Roosters kit with green instead of blue?

Estelle managed to walk beautifully onto the pitch with Danny and Buster.

Now onto the game
It was great to see a good win today, yes there were more points to be gained that didn't come off but never the less a win will have done wonders for the lads confidence, more so because of the fact a strong defence kept York from scoring a single point, well done lads.

Now lets see a good win at Dewsbury next week to back it up and we will be riding high

Well done lads and well done Marchy

A few of us will be walking to Dewsbury next week as part of our training for this year's charity canal walk, if anyone can commit to walking any distance of any day of the charity canal walk this year (14-17 August) then please email awalkforestelle@hotmail.co.uk for further information or log on to http://www.awalkforestelle.org.uk

Thanks
Al

I would like to do the full walk Liverpool to Leeds (subject to time off work)... can you pm me the details?

Still here folks I haven't vanished

I have to agree with most comments on here we looked the best we have so far this season, still not perfect but hey a wins a win. We played some great rugby against York and for me the man of match was Brendan Rawlins he really give it everything. It was great to see us get that first win and see the players looking happy with them selfs.

My honest opinion, yes I enjoyed the game and we did play some good rugby but for me it was nothing to get carried away with. I think we all new we were going to keep York quite and put a few past them due to their injuries and DR players they didn't have compared to their previous games. I aren't taking anything away from our boys because it was a massive improvement but to beat york doesn't get me thinking we are ok and are going to start winning games and climbing the table. For me now looking at the fixtures the only games that I think we will struggle with are Dewsbury, Workington, Sheffield and probably Hunslet as they are fielding a good Rhinos squad
Workington is a tricky place to go and get a win but that goes for any of the cumbrian teams.

So for me at the minute yes I'm happy we finally got a win but we are a long way off from saying we are going to be ok. I will still be there backing our boys against Dewsbury and the rest of the league, Come on COUGARS.

Just quickly on the shirts, can we please just wear the white one from now on. I thought the team looked great and very modern so much better than the horrible green thing. I will definately be buying the white shirt and especially since its going to a great cause, well done to everyone who puts the time and effort in for this charity because off the field for me its the only thing our club has anything to shout about at the minute. One thing that hasn't been made clear unless I've missed it. Is all the money paid for the charity going to the charity or is the club having a cut, also who is taking the money for the shirts.
