It was a very good weekend that deserved a lot more support than it got. We all complain that the RFL don,t care about the game outside Super League, then when they try something different nobody bothers about it. The whole event was very well organised and with a bit more effort from the RL, the clubs and the coaches could be a highlight of the season. I can see the problems regarding it being in the middle of the season, but when this year has been so stop and start it would have been good to keep the players match fit. Unfortunately there only seemed to be Sheffield Eagles , who treat it seriousley and took a strong side.

None of the clubs seemed to publicise it and the ticketing was a bit of a mess, but the game needs to try different things if it is progress. This event was a perfect event for a family day out and should be encouraged. I personally will be disappointed if it is cancelled after one year due to club and supporter apathy.

I understand it to be a 3 yr deal as part of deal with northern rail, folk on here and other places moan without checking things out I just don't see why.

They came unstuck against Blackpool in the final however!

Yes Blackpool looked when we watched them.

Can't say I went myself as I didn't see much info about it, maybe thats just me not looking. But if Blackpool won and if Bissell played can we not say we had a bit of a hand in winning and claim a portion of the silverware?

Andy hope you don't think I was moaning about folk not going as such was just trying to point out folk slagged off the competitition without going so have no idea how good it actuallly was.

Did we send a strong side or did we send reserves. Reading other forums it seems as though people were worried about picking up injuries etc.

This is the big fear i had.
The nines mean nothing to us. Getting into CO-OP nl1 is all that counts.

I am glad it is now out of the way and from what i have heard, no one got any injury out of it.

The only good thing to come out of it, is some players will have had a chance to rest up for the weekend.

No doubt some player will be carrying a knock of some form.
