Just got back from London. The Boys went out and did the job. 1st team debut tonight for James Haythornwaite who came on the 2nd half.
Jermaine Wray & George Raynor both picked up injurys, but hopefully they can be sorted in the 3 week break, though the very hard pitch at New River didnt help, & even a couple of Skolars players were struggling.
The Keighley tries were scored by Daley Williams, Brendon Rawlins (2), Dan Potter, Sam Gardner & Wray.
Final Score: London Skolars 10, Keighley Cougars 28

Not really a convincing month from your team, looked like a struggle against both bottom teams in that period. Hunslet obviously a better performance against a better side, but I would say that you will have to play much better to beat a York team that are pretty clinical at the moment. The new players like Wildbore, Moore from Leeds, Big Ian Bell are making a huge difference to them having added a lot of pace and power, and your big pitch will suit them and their current fast attacking style of play. you will really have to be on top of your game to beat them in the play offs.

we have nothing to prove, the season lasted for 18 games and out of that we finished 2nd clear, we demolished rochdale so don't know where the struggle came from there?? Anyway we are winning without playing champagne rugby so just imagine when we hit top form in the playoffs! We have nothing to fear from York we have pace and class on our big pitch also.

Is that York you're talking about, the Rhino's bitch? If they do succeed, it will be a sad day for competitive Championship rugby, and a win for Super Doopper League at the expense of the game of Rugby League.

oh yeah thats right you demolished THIRD bottom Rochdale....oh well now your talking, thats it then you must be sure to win now with that win on your record......what a quote to come out with
Now maybe if that had been Dewsbury you were talking about beating there would have been some credibility but please......
I dont think York have anything to fear having beaten you once and lost by a point at yours, and since then their team much faster/stronger and I think you will be in for a suprise.

Rhino, I am usually the blindly optimistic one around here, but I think we will struggle against York, it will be a tough match, then again they all will. We have been waiting all year for the team to tear someone apart but we keep getting fantastic rugby interlaced with errors, loss of concentration etc.
Personally I feel the team is more unsettled now that at any time of the year, Whilst we are on a high securing 2nd, wow what a season, we do not have a settled side or indeed our best 17 available or ready. At least finishing 2nd we have a couple of bites of the cherry if required.
I would love us to do York, but I can see it being one kick winning it.
Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.
