They're trying for a May final so brackets work out as May/August

153 Amateur Clubs (NCL Conference, RFL Conference & Invited participants), Irish and Scottish Champions, 2 Student Teams, 3 Armed Forces Teams enter.

Round Two (December/January):
80 First Round Winners

Round Three (January/February):
14 League One Clubs and Two French Clubs joined by forty second round winners.

Round Four (January/March):
12 Championship Clubs joined by 28 third round winners.

Round Five (February/April):
12 Super League clubs joined by 20 fourth round winners.

Round Six (February/May):
16 fifth round winners.

Quarter Finals (March/June):
8 sixth round winners.

Semi Finals (April/July):
4 quarter finals winners.

FINAL (May/August):
2 semi finals winners.
