Post subject: Under 20s at Gateshead This Afternoon

I'm not very impressed. It's been advertised for months that our Under 20s would be playing 'North East Thunder' at Gateshead Stadium this afternoon, kick-off 2.30pm. Wanting to give the young Cougars some support, me and our Tom duly turned up at the stated venue at half past two, only to be met with blank looks. This remained the case until one bloke came forward and said the game had been moved to Winlaton at the last minute - even the ref had apparently turned up at Gateshead Stadium. I could have driven across Gateshead to Winlaton but would probably have missed all the first half, then I would have got stuck in the Metro Centre traffic on the A1 after the match when I need to be somewhere this evening. So I sacked it. . Poor do.
