In all the time (51 years) that I have been supporting Keighley (and the Cougars), I have never know such a wide margin when we have defeated Whitehaven on their home ground!

Can anyone tell me if this is a record points scored (10 tries!) victory in Cumberland/Cumbria against Whitehaven?

Were Whitehave so pathetic today or were we so brilliant?

Unfortunbately, I couldn't make the 400 mile plus journey feom my new south-coast location today but I wish that I had!

Let's hope that we can repeat the score on Wednesday!

Think it was abit of both, Keighley been great going forward and Whitehaven been shocking in defence.

Think its fair to say, non of us who were there expected a result like that.

I think Haven were not quite up for it. We were aggresive from the off and it paid off. The ref had a shocker for both sides. DJ had a perfectly good conversion not given and Paddy Hesketh a perfect try not given.

In fairness the ref missed a few things for them also. I think they dwelt on this and heads went down. There fans were on there backs hard and heads stayed down until half time.

Whatever was said at half time lifted them briefly but the mountain was too big. An also Keighley were about to play their 1st full 80 minutes of the season.

On an added note the burger and chips were the second worst I have ever come across. For £5 it was poor beyond words. Like a tinned spam burger, It was sold as a beef burger and the tiny thin soggy chips were cold and foul.
Will take jam sandwiches next time.

A good bunch of fans and staff at Haven and a good day out on the whole.

The pies in the bar were very good though at £1.50. Glad I didnt go for the burger van option if it wasnt good.

Apparently, according to Dave Woods on the radio, some of the Haven team were told prior to the game that their services weren't required for next season which may partially explain their lack of effort.

Doncaster beat them easily the week b4 , they were poor to say the least.

Well done Keighley , to go up there & win by such a margin , what a performance .Good luck Wednesday.
We will be going all out next Sunday v Swinton for another win.
