I wasn’t able to get to the York match but listened to the excellent commentary on radio York. It was interesting that the commentators said that we were unrecognisable in performance from the team that beat them 34-0. In the first game we offloaded and played a faster game. In this game we made mistakes aplenty and played one up rugby. Same coach, slightly different squad.

It seems to me we have the following possible issues:

1) Coach not good enough
2) Coach good enough but some of the players not good enough to execute his tactics
3) Players good enough but won’t play for coach
4) Some players are inconsistent and cannot play at a high pace week in and week out
5) Directors not good enough and the effect being felt throughout club.
6) Directors are trying to make the most of the limited cash/resources they have available and have got the best team they can afford to assemble.
7) LoyalFan2013 has a time warp in his garage and is ripping the ball off our players at crucial times just so he can come on here and “finger wag”

It could be any one of the above or more likely a combination of a few. Personally I’d go for an outside bet on number 7.

Sorry to break the flow and throw in a positive.

Cosgrove effort and attitude was 200% in that game. Haley also. Twice Cosgrove tried to ball steal and it nearly came off. Also his work rate was 1st class.

In my opinion we should recognize we Won most of our games whilst Mr March was directing from the side. A job he can do well.

I can understand him playing half back, because there is a huge gap left with Danny Jones having to cover Full Back.

The best news is about Mossy coming back soon is this will put DJ back in his natural position and maybe PM can concentrate more on the coaching and leadership during the game.

The fella couldn't be trying any harder, maybe too hard, but you can't ride 2 horses with one backside and I think his talents are, more in coaching. He is a very attacking minded coach. One of the reasons our defense was so much better last year was the organisation and control Mossy gave us.

Mossy is a loud bossy little git at the back and he is a good reader of the game. He keeps the defense organised and with him at the back I felt more people bought into the system that do presently.

One or two needed a rocket after the game last Sunday. I know that when Gav is dropped he comes back with a new
attitude everytime. (Each time in the last 4 years he has been dropped he comes back as SuperDuffy)

I don't think from a Coaching point of view anybody is going drag them kicking and screaming to the end
with a top 8 fininish still highly possible other than PM.

I would prefer him to come out of the half back role and put DJ back as soon as Mossy is back.
I would also prefer a coach who could keep his head whilst those around him loose theirs rather than join in the punch up or swearing at the officials and having to leave the pitch.

I may be giving the nails a bit of a chew as we head to the business end of the season but I am still not pressing the old.

The only thing the accident has to Do with anything was just to point

I and many others on this forum
gave him chance but after Sundays dire display it doesn't look
as though another win is possible it really was that bad with the exception
of a couple of parts.
