Went to a wedding in Huddersfield on Saturday.
Whilst there got talking to 5 people who used to watch the Cougars. All asked me how we were doing now.

I asked why they had stopped going. Various reasons were given.

Just wondering, would it be worth the club, trying to get these people back or concentrate on new ones.

Both, but God knows how.

I honestly believe the biggest barrier to the club bringing fans back is not the club itself, but the way the game has gone.

Any and all should be welcome and its good to see the odd bulls/rhinos/fax fan at the ground.

I think some of the old fans may have left because of "differences of opinion" with the board. However, I think the board have done a wonderful job of moving the club forward (even if slowly) within a budget that keeps us afloat.

Personally, I would have a huge part of the busness plan devoted to kids:
- how can we get them in the ground
- how can we keep them after the initial "experience"
- how can we keep their parents
- how can we angle club merchandise to link in with all of the above.

On the playing front:
- we did a great job agaist Cas, I heard old supporters in the crowd saying how they would come again.
- we shot ourselves in the foot in the televised game against Dewsbury, need to at least make a fist of the next game.

Once again this weekend no game for us. It must really disrupt Barrys planning.
All this talk of teams being let into SL.

We need to be playing games on a regular (i.e predictable) basis, like every other weekend we're at home, or similar. This 'a game, then nowt for a fortnight, then two on the bounce' is a load of chuff, and very hard to keep people's interest unless they're commited already.
