Keighley Cougars have today (Wednesday) put on sale tickets for both the Carnegie Challenge Cup Final at Wembley on Saturday, August 29 and the inaugural Northern Rail Nines in Blackpool on the weekend of July 11 and 12.
The Cougars have been given an allocation of 100 Carnegie Challenge Cup Final tickets and some of the profit from the sale will go towards maintaining professional Rugby League in Keighley.
KC Club members will be able to benefit from a great discount scheme because, until July 1, they will be able to buy the tickets with a face value of £26 for just £20! Other fans can buy the tickets for the full face value and enjoy one of the greatest days out in British sport.
You can make sure of your ticket by either calling the club office on 01535 606044 or visiting the club office at Cougar Park between 9.30 am and 4.00pm from Monday to Friday, or on a home match day.
Tickets for the ground-breaking nine-a-side tournament are also on sale at the Cougars office.
The Northern Rail Nines tournament will be staged at Fylde Rugby Union Club’s Woodlands ground in Andsell on Saturday and Sunday, July 11 & 12.
All the Co-operative Championship and Championship One clubs that did not reach the Northern Rail Cup Final which will be played at
Bloomfield Road
, Blackpool on Sunday, July 12 are entered into the Nines. The top eight sides at the end of Saturday’s group stage go through to the finals which are played on Sunday morning while the remaining sides will play in a Plate competition.
Tickets for the Nines event available from the Cougars cost £9 – if you buy them on the day they cost £10 – and children’s tickets cost £5.
And if you fancy up-grading your Nines ticket to take in the Northern Rail Cup Final on Sunday afternoon that will cost you a bargain £5.
The package of the Nines and the Northern Rail Cup Final promises to be one of the great days out in Rugby League and the Cougars will be one of the clubs going flat out to win the inaugural Nines tournament.
Incidentally, all of the money raised from ticket sales at Cougars will be used to fund to defray the club’s costs of playing in the competition. So, by buying your tickets from the Cougars you can help the sport stage a brand new competition!
