Barry Eaton, Keighley Cougar’s Head Coach, has called for the sporting public of Keighley to back his side in numbers when they face engage Super League club Castleford Tigers in the Fourth Round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup on Sunday, April 5.
“This is an all-ticket game,” said Eaton, “and I want the Keighley fans to make sure that they have their tickets for this special game for our club.
“We’ve heard that the Castleford Tigers fans are snapping up all the available tickets and we want to make sure that Cougars players have as many voices yelling support for them as possible.
“The Cougar Park capacity is set at 5,900 for this Cup tie and we need as many Keighley fans at the match as possible to make sure it doesn’t sound like the Tigers’ home tie”.
Helen Carter, the Cougars’ General Manager, said: “Cup fever has swept over Cougar Park in the last few days.
“The demand for tickets is running high and our phone never stops ringing with fans wanting details of how to get their tickets.
“Fans can buy tickets from £11 for an adult ground ticket. Our ticket office is open from 9.00am until 4.30pm from Monday until Friday.
“All the tickets that are not taken up by Keighley fans will be sent to Castleford for sale and we’re hoping that this first meeting between the two clubs at Cougar Park since February 1994 could even be a sell out.”
