Indians battered

Intersting times for Indian test cricket, the brilliant old guard batting wise seem to be fading away, not helped by a limited bowling attack. The IPL brings their bright talent fame and fortune, but test cricket just seems like an unwelcome sideshow. Only seen brief highlights of today's play but it appears to have just been a total capitulation from the Indian tail.

There will be a particularly passionate rendition of Jerusalem at 10am uk time from the barmy army in Dubai on Tuesday, during the 1st test match. This will coincide with the start of a funeral service of one of the armies keenest members who sadly committed suicide last week!!

RIP George.

Up the England

love a good rendition of Jerusalem, sad that though.

Remember it being done during a lull in the game in New Zealand a few years back and it just sounded amazing.

Not sure how good it will sound on the tele from Dubai, don't think there are overly many of the army making the trip, with Sri Lanka being just around the corner.......

192 all out, glorious stuff...

On the county side of things, what are people's thoughts on the Morgan Review? Shocking if you ask me, the one competition that doesn't need tinkering with is the Championship. Pillocks. And all for a Champions League that no one really cares about nor seems to be that secure for the long term. If it is going to be p*ssed about with, I'm just glad we won it again beforehand.

Talking of which, for no reason other than to brag, I'm off to Abu Dhabi the last week in March for the Champion County match against the MCC. Should be fun. 8-)

Not surprisingly, it's the PCA that are pushing for a commitment to Champions League participation - a nice little jolly and a chance to make some cash for 22 of their members come the end of the season.

Changing the structure of the Championship completely devalues the integrity of the competition. How can you have a league table decide the winners of the title when all sides have different fixture lists?
