I would like to take this opportunity to offer my congratulations to Wigan Athletic, it may have been a poor season but how they have come good in the last few weeks fills my of pride in our town. Im a huge fan of both our premier sports clubs and just wish that we could both get along!

Fair play to them.

However I don't remember a 'Well done Wigan' thread on Cockney Liar back end of last year?

Yep A big thankyou to all the millionaire South Americans, Africans and Cockneys for keeping my hometown football team in the Premiership. I'll see you all in't King Billy for a pint... Or will I???
ALthough its another summer with long sleeve shirts for those red devil/liver bird tattoo clad chameleons in the town!!

I was very pleased Latics stayed up and really can''t understand why people get so angry and occasionally rather pathetic about it. It definatley works both ways. I do have a massaive issue with Whelan (since the play off game with Bradford, good friday game etc) but not for latics and certainly not for the majority of their fans

When you say majority of their fans do you mean the real fans ie 1500 that watched in the dark days? If so im with you, Or the thousands or cretins that woke up on 9th May 2005 and if by magic turned from a Utd/scouse fans into a 'true blue 25 year supporting five knuckle shuffler' then I dissagree completely........

I dont even mind glory hunters, what I can't abide is chameleon like tendencies of thousands of Latics fans that now forget their past allegencies to Utd/scouse teams...

He does have a point. I know of at least two people with past allegencies to MUFC, one of which has since switched back to them.

*You know these two people as well Tracie.

Edit - just thought of someone else (ex LFC), you will know him too.
