That was very sporting of Di Canio. But IMO it's pretty easy to be sporting when there's nothing riding on the outcome. Everton and West Ham were just involved in more mid-table dullness. Seems to be a lot of excusers for cheats today. I mean, you don't find a victory ultimately tainted when one of your players cheats? I don't think France fans "not giving a to55" (whatever that means) exhonerates Henry for his antics. He has brought the game into disrepute and ultimately calls to question the credibility of France's very appearance in the world cup. And what of the Ireland fans? I bet they "give a to55". Do they not count? Cheats should be hounded and embarrassed for what they are. Particularly persistant ones like Henry and Gerrard.

My girlfriend is French and a passionate fan of Les Bleus and Henry is her favourite player. She was embarrassed for what he did and it tainted a very exciting match. I think Henry and Gallas' reaction told the whole story after the goal and the game. A shocking act of cheating and terrible officiating. It would be nice to see FIFA act and get the technology nearly all fans want after this but I wouldn't hold my breath.
