James Wade didn't seem to have a problem in the worlds and he got pretty far. Adams is well capable of hitting more than a 90 average.
It is not all about the avarages though. People like Martin Adams IMO would not be able to cope with the more vocal crowds in the PDC. Ted Hankey is another, both decent darts players, but i serously doubt they would be able to compete on the PDC stages. Ted Hankey last year kicked off because 2 people near the front boo'ed him, for gods sake Peter Manley gets that by 1-2,000 people every TV tournement even on his throw. Adams and the likes of him still live in the 70's just the BBC with there awfull coverage.
Gary Anderson and Simon Whitlock however i feel could make the switch, they have proven in PDC orgonised tournement, Anderson has beaten Taylor on TV (almost certain it was in the IDL) and also reached the Grand Slam of darts semi finals in both there years and Whitlock reached the quater finals with a couple of good wins along the way. I am undecided on Scott Waites at the moment but i cant belive how much he has improved over the last year, i think he is one to watch
