ends 0-0 at st james'. not a good result for newcastle.

We were good first half, we were allover them.

However, second half, Portsmouth were the much better team.

Martins should have scored in the first half, but he volleyed over from 7 yards, and Owen should have scored in the second half when being one on one with James.

We dont look like scoring though.

I reckon Hull might stay up but I doubt they'll survive next season. Newcastle, Boro and West Brom will go down IMO. If Boro do go I think they'll do a Leeds/Charlton and go all together into League 1.

that's what plebty said of wigan latics, but to be honest if they went close to relegation now i'd be surprised.

It's no suprise that we look like we dont have a clue, because quite simply we dont. Not just the team either, the owner is responsible for the vast majority of this mess that we are in, along with the players who aren't performing, however that is probably down to a lack of confidence and being completely edgey/nervous.

Keegan cries out that we need a left back, so what happens when the only left back at the club goes off injured after 35 minutes. We have to put a winger at left back, and then a central midfielder on the wing, in Danny Guthrie.

Keegan also wanted a creative central midfielder, but instead what do we have, grafter, grafter, grafter, no creativity what so ever. Butt, Nolan, Smith, etc... haven't got any creativity between them, they will work hard and be committed, but they won't create chances.

It will be interesting to see what Ashley's followers who have followed and backed him blind make of the situation now. The ones who could see what was happening and werent as naive, which includes me, could see relegation coming a mile off, as we have been going downhill big time with Ashley in charge.

Ashley is an idiot and hasn't a clue how to run a football club. Then again, i have been saying it for 6-7 months and still some Toon fans never fail to amaze at how naive they can be at times.
