Didn't Cantona's trial at Wednesday coincide with a period of snow? My memory is of Wednesday asking him to stay for a longer trial so they could look at him more and Cantona leaving in a huff.
And I'd say that Wednesday's failure to sign Cantona after the trial isn't as embarrassing as Leeds United gift to Man United of him.
