IMO that happens roughly 5 times a game. It's extremely hard to make that decision so refs and linos are obviously going to make mistakes. You just get over it and defend the corner properly and there's no problem. If your side don't defend properly and let a goal in you can cry like a baby.
Managers are under clear instructions not to slag off officials post match. Warnock has done that. He chucked his dummy out of the pram and the toys followed. He deserves a fine. The limo may have made an error, but it's likely to have been an honest error. Warnock made a decision to slag off the lino after the game. He alluded to having to pay a huge fine if he used the words he wished to use about the lino, he called him incompetent and called for him to be banned for a long time. Warnock's error is far, far larger than the lino.

It wasn't two players going up for a header, it was fairly clear cut. He did not know what to give so just pointed for the corner.
Warnock refrained from saying they were robbed/cheated but still said more than he wishes he had i'd imagine. Yet the players can scream, swear and abuse the refs all they like and nothig happens. What do the FA expect, the players do as they like as do the refs yet a manager says one wrong word and they want to fine him. It's laughable.

To be fair to the officials, at real speed it looks as though the keeper has got the last touch. You have to see it again from a different angle in slow-mo, with freeze frame on the actual contact of the ball to see that it came off the Villa player's head. Impossible to call really. I thought it was a corner to start with, the ITV commentators didn't see the incident either.
Warnock should be more concerned at his defence allowing Petrov to roam freely into the box to win the header. The administrators will be happy anyway.

Good to see Georgeous George Boateng's red card overturned. Still doesn't detract from the fact we might have got something from the game if he hadn't been sent off
Indeed was a joke he got sent off in the first place it was 50/50 ball and went fully commited to win the ball not to injure Pederson, still atleast its been overturned as hes been one of our best players in the last few weeks

Well Paddy Evra doesn't seem to think it was as clear cut as you claim.
Whether it was dreadful error from the lino or a simple wrong choice when faced with a difficult decision, the simple fact is that Palace just had a corner given against them rather than having a goal kick. The way Warnock's been crying about it you'd think they had a goal wrongly disallowed or not had a blatant penalty given.
Whining over an incorrectly given corner is just pathetic.

The FA would prefer it if players stopped hassling refs. But it's difficult to clamp down on in the heat of the game.
They've made it very clear though that managers have even greater responsibility and they won't accept officials being slagged off on TV.
If managers are allowed to slag off refs then it's probable that the players will put even more pressure on refs. The players are already over the line in that respect so managers have to accept they can't use after-match interviews as a way of giving officials a kicking.
What do people think of the Champions League Play Offs for teams finishing 4th-7th?
I'm completely against it myself.
It'll increase the length of the season for the players. It'll be extra fixtures to find room for, alongside international matches. It'll be extra fixtures for supporters to shell out for. It'll make recruiting for CL seasons even more difficult for the teams involved.
But I'm mainly against it because I just know that Liverpool or Arsenal are going to eventually fail to get 4th place and then the gits are going to win the play off and qualify anyway!

Will there be a trophey for the winner of the playoff? They could call it the Rafa cup
Seriously isn't 38 games enough time to prove your worth for a champions league place? Wonder if the FA would just want two semis and a final played at Wembley to help pay the damned thing off

Nah, does finishing 7th in a league give you the right to play in the Champions League? 7th is hardly champion material.
Perhaps 4th v FA Cup winner (if they aren't already in) would be better, with the loser getting the Europa League spot.
