We originally demanded €47m. We've lowered that to €35m. Real are unwilling to go past €27m. Why are they willing to match every other club's valuation of the players they don't want to let go, yet when we demand a fee they're suddenly holding US to ransom?

We don't have to sell and we don't want to sell, therefore, we dictate terms. They're being unreasonable because they consistently go spouting off to the media, if they want to force us to sell they meet our valuation, it's that simple. Moaning to the press about us not being fair on a club who have broken the transfer record twice this summer is just pure BS from Perez. Putting deadlines on a deal where we clearly don't want to sell is even more BS. If anyone should be putting deadlines on the deal, it should be Rafa, because they've f*cked us about for months.

I would be livid if that happens. Onouha is already a good player and has the potential to be an England regular. Hughes has made it clear that he doesn't want him to go.

If Everton did leak to the press that they want Onouha as part of a swap, then that was a very canny move. It wouldn't surprtise me as David Moyes is very intelligent.

You may as well indeed, it was aimed towards all right minded City fans

This one came out last week I think it was, on teletext, apprently just before or after the Lescott bid came in Moyes asked about Onouha. Didn't say much else at the time until now but according to the papers it looks like a deal will on be done as part of the Lescott one. Although Moyes is looking for cover across the back as we only have two for centre halves now.

I was quite impressed when I saw the story, not seen a great deal of him but from what I have I would be delighted if we could get him in. Think Hughes will only deal if Lescott is involved though. I do rate Onouha and it seems you do too, very highly.

He is a key player to our title chances also Real want spanish players we have every right to set a price an stick to it, found it very funny Real are always trying to bully and get whoever they want and expect it to work everytime.

Losing Alsonso will be a Massive (c) blow to Liverpool. I'll say one thing, I thought they'd struggle to get 21 million for him - looks like I was way off beam. Although to be fair this is the most bonkers transfer window ever.

1. Given
2.Richards 4.Onuha 5.Hangelland 5.Bridge

8.Barry

11. SWP 7. Ireland 6.Robinho

9.Adebayor 10. Tevez

Thats quite a impressive line up which gives us cover in both attack and defence with a Bench of

Petrov
Santa Cruz
Bellamy
Zabaleta
Kompany
De Jong

Fitness permitting I expect De Jong to start nearly every match

I agree
If i was Perez i'd be right royally p'd off with Benitez right now.

As a Liverpool fan i'd love to see Xabi stay but i would prefer to see him go now his loyalties and mind seem to be very much back in Spain

Is Lescott a £20-25m defender though, as that what it looks like it'll take. I think that's an awful lot of money for him. Of their centre back pairing, I've always felt that Jagielka is the better of the two.

I'd say it's a trait of world football now that there's so few decent defenders, the cost is increasing, I mean £16m for Toure, wow. The Premiership arguably has the best crop of central defenders kicking aroud of all the leagues, difficult to come up with too many options outside of the league.

If I was City, and we're going down this 'dominant centre half' route to compliment Toure, I'd look at Ryan Nelson, nice calm influence, solid, has a presence. I think he's one of the most underated defenders in the league. Back end of the season, Blackburn were miserly. Hughes would know him well too. I know he's the wrong side of 30, I just think he'd be the right man for now. He'd bring along the likes of Onouha, who for me, is the best centre back prospect in this country, I like him alot.

JWP, I strongly disagree. There are good players, then there are top players. Nelsen is a decent PL defender, but nothing more. Upson, Hangeland, Lescott, heck, even somebody like Bassong from the Championship would be better buys, for me. Dunne is a better player than Nelsen I think, if they're to buy a defender, it has to be somebody that improves them, as well as be able to be part of a project for the best part of five years. Nelsen just doesn't tick those boxes.

No room for £15 million Toure, then?
