Agreed, they were like Carlos and Cafu bombing down those flanks yesterday. Okay maybe a bit of an exaggeration, but I reckon a lot of Premier League teams will be interested in them.

Yes he made mistakes but his are the only ones you highlight, Ashley made the biggest mistakes yet has about two words devoted too him. Allardyce had nothing to do with your relegation. Yes you have been on the slide for a while but had Keegan not been undermined by Ashley then Newcastle would still be in the PL.
Funny how Blacburn were in worse trouble than you yet Sam managed to save them fairly comfortably.
Have you honestly seen anything in Shearer to suggest he could be a top manager other than it's Shearer, change of style? Galvanising the side? As an outsider he seems to have had little impact, not his fault you went down but his appointment seemed to bring little to the team in terms of immediate impact.
It's not an obsession with blaming Allardyce mate, I was just pointing out that he isn't blameless as many people seem to think and that is why I put the points across as to why he takes some of the blame. I could list the faults of all of the others I named if you wish?
As for Shearer, there are signs there that he could do a job, yes. Since he's come in, we've played better football at times, despite having no pace or creativity in the side. He's made big calls by dropping big names and was spot on in the way he dealt with the Barton situation. He's handled the media very well. He knows what needs to be done to turn things around and I think he has the ability to do so. If he stays, I think some of the players thinking of leaving would also hang around which could be massive for us.

So long as you bounce back straight away. If not, I would say there's a risk they'll become expensive millstones you can't offload (if some of them aren't already). Although I've no idea what contract lengths are like in the Newcastle squad, there may be a large batch due to run out by the end of next season for all I know.
