don't write him off just yet - he's a class player who is having a bad time - it happens to them all from time to time - saying that,it would be nice to see Morgan given a chance

But at 34, and having a bad series, it's time for the selectors to look to the future and look at giving the likes of Morgan a go in the next series. Bell upto 5 and Morgan in at 6.

I think an aussie player, playing in england, would have received a fairly mixed reception in those circumstance. Any batsmen that needs to have a discussion with his partner over whether to ask for a referral to establish if he has edged the ball is surely playing the system?
Don't think the Aussies can have too much scope for complaint after the ridiculous appeal on the catch by Hughes.
Crowds here seem to have funny standards. Ricky Ponting was booed everywhere in the last ashes series, whereas Shane Warne didn't get any stick from the crowd when coming back from his suspension for performance enhancing drugs.

Punter is a (bad tempered) Panto villain, i think he knows there was a fairly healthy level of respect in the booing.

IIRC wasn't Warne's ban for using a diuretic which is on the banned list because it can be used as a masking agent for performance enhancing drugs, rather than for failing a test due to performance enhancing substances?
Job done in this game - bat on as long as we can then see if the Aussies have the stomach for batting 4-5 sessions to save the game when the series has already gone.

The thing is Collingwood has made some comments almost alluding to retiring from Test cricket so I would not be surprised to see him announce his decision after this match and just continue with Limited overs cricket.

Saw Warne doing likewise after the close of play - clutching at straws, and missing them, when have you ever seen someone leap up and fling the ball in the air when they know they have dropped / grounded a catch?

Warne's comments on twitter are unusually fair-minded though - "England are just too good"?
