Valencia's financial woes and Villarreal's poor season only accentuates the difference.
valencia's run of form could well save the club, it really is that serious. if the make the champions league places (i think they'll take 3rd) the revenue will go a long way to sorting them out.

I disagree. From what I've heard and read, they're still completely up the spout and regardless of whether they reach the CL they're still going to lose their top starts like Villa, Silva and Mata. Finishing top four this year won't suddenly clear all their problems.

i never said it would solve all their problems. players going to raise cash is a given, but you can't deny that a champions league place won't be a godsend, surely!
apart from the money for being involved, you've got the added gate receipts, merchandising and more interest in sponsorship/advertising.
they need every penny they can get.

Munoz fired by Getafe after 7 defeats in 9. Strange time of the season to be firing someone but I suppose they're gambling on a bounce when a new manager comes in.

The new manager is former Real Madrid legend Michel, although he's only signed a deal until the 30th of June. Esnaider will be his number 2.
I think they'll stay up to be honest, better than any of the sides in the bottom 3.
