20mill from sales + 15mill from Keane deal will make up a large part of what we have to spend it may not be 60mill thats just a rumour but we should have enough for two class signing unless the yanks pocket the money.

I think it will be same old same old with us.
About £20m net to spend, and make the rest off transfers. With players like Babel, Dossena, Lucas, Degen, Leto and Voronin possible departures, I think we should have well over £30m to spend.

Forgot about Voronin was scoring well in germany should get 6 or 7 mill hopefully.

Personally, depending on what money is needed I'd be looking at Silva as first choice. We can't afford Villa, and I'm not sure Tevez isn't too similar to Keane in the role he plays. I really don't want Forlan and I would definitely take Lennon and Johnson as major imporvements in the squad. We would still need a striker though who is good enough to score goals but patient enough to know he is hardly going to play. Can't think of many.
Valencia are hoping they'll only need to sell one of their big names. at the moment silva looks the most likely. story in this morning's paper saying liverpool are preparing a €16.5m bid for the lad. that wouldn't be bad business at all for the scousers.

I think Silva will cost more around the £18-£25m mark, he's good but with sides like Madrid, Barca, Man City and Juve interested, Valencia will drive that price right up. I think we'll try for him, but I'd very un-confident if things got into a bidding war.

madrid are far more interested in villa. only the other day casillas said he'd like to see villa and mata at a 'big club' ruben baraja was in today's paper saying they're already at a big club.
