Completing the domination of the division and shutting the cocky plank up?
If he does that, I reckon Hatton will be looking at 2 or 3 fights max - De La Hoya, Mayweather and Pacquiao. Imagine if he beats one of those. That's a fairly impressive record to retire on.

I think if Ricky wins on Saturday he should fight Mayweather at Wembley (with everyone who went to the last Hatton v Mayweather getting in free ) and then either retire or fight De La Hoya then retire.
What immortal hand or eye, Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

I dont think a cocky yank is worthy of fighting Hatton, as I said IMO Hatton has nothing to gain from this guy and everything to lose.
I cant see what fighting an aged De La Hoya will give him, Mayweather is a non starter unless Hatton enjoys being made to look a mug and I know little about the other guy.

De La Hoya is an impressive name to add to anyone's list. He's still a very good boxer, although more of a money man these days. He's fighting Pacquiao on December 6th, so you'll be able to check him out yourself. He's currently ranked P4P #1 and is the current WBC lightweight Champ and WBC Super Featherweight Champ. He's stepping up two weight classes to take on De La Hoya.
I wouldn't fight Mayweather either if I was Hatton, but Hatton genuinely believes he can beat him especially at home with a British ref. You can't blame him for wanting to avenge defeat, even though I can't see it.

I am glad to hear Hatton wants Mayweather.
As Gandhi said; " He who stops wanting to be better stops being good."

If Hatton is serious then he should be knocking this idiot out and then going all out for Mayweather again. De La Hoya is nothing but a money making exercise and Hatton has nothing to prove by fighting up and coming fighters who are looking for a big name on their list.
