The Hawks just can't help shooting themselves in the foot this season, blowing another 2 goal lead in the 3rd perioed against the Preds in Nashville saturday to lose in the shootout. Things didnt get much better at the start of the 1st period in the return fixture on Sunday, going in 2-1 down. Hawks took the game with a come from behind win 6-3 after words were reported to have been said by the players inbetween 1st & 2nd periods.

Roll on Detroit, just hope the Hawks keep their focus and play the game they can.

I take it you're posting about Forsberg skating with the Avs.He could be a good signing for the Avs,they have a lot of young players and getting Forsberg back will be a big boost for the team heading into the final few months of the season.

Just wonder whether he can recapture the magic, great player in his day especially with Sakic question is as he been out the NHl too long now to actually make a impact?

Hawks take the Wings winning 4-1 in Motor City.

Chicago moved into the all star beark with 2 defeats and are hanging on too the last playoff spot.If they scrape into the playoffs they could be dangerous but there are a lot of teams at the same level in the Western conference, there's only Edmonton out of the playoff race so far.

Started off the road trip after the All Star Break with a 7-4 win over the Blue Jackets. Turco bags the win but looking alittle shakey, maybe the Hawks may regret not resigning Niemi?

The Hawks just need to get some consistency back into their game.

I've just finished watching one of the best regular season games i've seen in a long time.Boston/Montreal games are usually good but this had 14 goals and plenty of incidents including at one point all the players on the ice fighting including both netminders.Anybody who thinks ice hockey doesn't come across well on tv should just watch this game and they'll soon change their minds.

Thought that was a real letdown after Johnson/DiPietro

Excellent game though.
