Early Tour thoughts.....

Very enjoyable start to the Tour this year. Great effort by Wiggo in the prologue - and to finish second is pretty much perfect I would say.

Not sure about the level protection Wiggo is getting in the final few km's of the first two stages. It looks like there are a few occasions where Wiggo is being left to his own devices. Cadel certainly seems to be getting protection from Hincapie.

Shame about Tony Martin - I reckon he'll soldier on until first TT, give it everything and then bow out and prepare for the Olympic TT.

Cav - brilliant early stage win yesterday. I was worried with his loss of top end power but he has proven just how good he is without a train to deliver him to the end.

Sagan - I reckon another win from him today. Looks nailed on for green.

Cav just beat Matt Goss in a straight sprint at the intermediate. Only for 6th place with a 5-man breakway up the road, but a nice bundle of points.

Sagan down! Sky's Sivtsov also involved and the worst off of those involved. Tyer Farrar caught up in it.
Ryder Hesjedal back in the pack after a separate incident. It's all going off as they hit this series of climbs.

Sivtsov abandons. Then another pile-up sees Jose Rojas pull out. It's carnage today.

Doh!! - third day on the trot that I'd have had a bet on (and won) if I'd only had the time!

Tomorrow is a sprint day again so I'll go big and early with another win for Cav.
