Injuries have come to bite at the worst possible time. The midfield is down to the bare bones and it's impossible to put out a recognisable back four at the moment.
Last week at Oxford, Steve Torpey partnered Amjad Iqbal at the back. Yesterday, Simeon Bambrook (another forward by trade) was alongside Ammers.
Need to get something on Tuesday. It's certainly do-able given that York's season ended weeks ago but it's a massive ask. Even if we get something, it'll need a win at home to Grays as well.

How did Craig Bentham do at Farsley? I've always thought he looked Ok when I've seen him play for us and I've been a bit surprised he hasn't had more of a look in at City this season, as our midfield has been awful. It looks like he'll definitely be on his way this summer.

A great signing and from the sounds of it, we'll be looking at him should we stay up. Technically a very gifted player and not afraid of a bit of hard work.
Formed a very good partership with Dom Krief in the middle and it's no conincidence that Farsley's form has been much better when he's been in the side.
Certainly missing him now

Seems to be a shame that his loan couldn't be extended, as he hasn't had a look in at VP since his return.
The loan rules seem very odd, as I understand it unless you sign a player for the rest of the season you can't extend the loan when the deal runs out, I'd like to know what the point of such a rule is.

I thought that only applied if you want to apply for an extension once the transfer windowhad closed? If so, I could understand it. If not, it's a stupid rule.

Maybe it's changed, but we had a player on loan for the first three months of last season and, apparently, we couldn't extend that deal without signing him permanently.
Then again with the amount of bs that's come from the people in charge at our place over the last few years it could have just been some tale to justify losing the player at the time, alternatively I could be remembering it all wrong!
