This is bad news for American sports fans like me.ESPNA has gone downhill in the last year with more and more rubbish like poker starting to be shown. They won't be getting any of my money.I'll just pay for NHL centre ice on the net instead.
Fair enough. I thought the ultimate package might just have been having the full Sky packages.
Originally we got Setanta for the NRL, but frankly other than the State of Origin i haven't watched any for ages. I always watch the American sports on ESPN America. Looks like we are going to have that replaced with hours of premier league football amongst other things, diluting the quality of the american sports. I'd gladly pay the £9 for it if it remained ESPN America, but not for an all in one channel where you get less hours of everything.

Find it strange no mantion of all this on ESPN America's site. Maybe there will be 2 channels come Aug 5th which will keep alot of their regular viewers happy and perhaps lead to an expansion of their US coverage but as you say trying to fit it all into one channel would not be good news especially as they have offered the scottish FA a deal to cover their Premiership (joint bid with Sky).
Can't we just have two ESPN channels; one for PL and one for American sports. But with no charge on the American Sports one? Ive just got used to watching baseball religiously.

It seems that they are basically going to show the football and other sports on just 1 channel as well as the US sports and get rid of ESPN america. So instead of been able to watch College Football, MLB and NHL pretty much when ever Iwant, which is why I subscribed to NASN in the first place, I will have to put up with more premier league and possibly s***y scotish football
ESPN can kiss goodbye to my £9 per month unless there remains a dedicated US sports channel.
Never mind. I would imagine there are fifty times as many people interested in Premier League football than shitty American sports so they will hardly be crying over the loss of your £9 a month.

Shame they didn't subscribe to Setanta
Is it true that Richard Agar's favorite movie of all time is Groundhog Day or does he just generally like the same boring s**t day after day, season after season?

Your not wrong but the Setanta figures were impressive with a million plus subscribers, it was just that was not enough for what they were spending and I would think ESPN will fall short of that figure unless people can subscribe via freeview and not need a Sky subscription as that was an appeal of Setanta to some people.

Same here
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
