This myth is really starting to bug me. Completely incorrect statement.

Treated shoddily?

Such an average player like Brown should grateful he has 1 cap to his name, never mind 23 with the chance for more.

Wes Brown is a very good player just made out of fibreglass

Down to opinions i guess, Lampard has very rarely brought his club form and performances to the international stage. He was our best player at Euro 2004 and has been poor at best since then but because he gets 12 deflected goals and 10 penaltys for chelsea a season the managers all think they have to pick him.

So how was he treated shoddily?

How was Robinson treated shoddily? He made at least two big errors playing for England (Croatia and Russia) and had been playing patchily for Tottenham which led to him being dropped and sold respectively, because he had a half decent season for Blackburn should he have automatically been given the shirt back?

Robinson has come across like a spoilt brat, I guess Brown's reasoning might be more fitness related.

Robinson should have gone to the World Cup as he was easily in the best 3 keepers in the country last season, Behind Hart he was the form Goalkeeper.

Brown although injured alot was fit at the back end of last season and should of gone. He offered more than Carragher who was "retired"

Browns probably thought he doesn't need the hassle especially when he worked so hard to get himself back at the end of last season.

According to a report I just read his last game last season was in March.

What's Gerrard's excuse then?

Don't you think Gerrard has performed to a higher level than Lampard has for his country? I'd say he's been the better of the two players

Not a chance. You've already said Lampard was our best player at Euro 2004, that wasn't the only time he's been our best player either. When has Gerrard ever been our best player at a tournament?
