In all seriousness, this episode and subsequent apologies (however half-ar$ed they are) just go to vindicate the FA commission in believing that Suarez and his ludicrous defence couldn't be trusted. Seems someone high up at Anfield has cracked some heads, shame it's taken them so long.

I am not aware of him apologising for his xenophobic comment, but he was fined, and hasn't whined about it constantly since 1999 or tried to shift the blame onto anyone else. His history of signing and forging lasting,winning relationships with a long list of black players (by that I mean more than one) suggests he is probably not the most racist manager around.

They got involved previously and reigned them in regarding the appeal, but they have had to do it again, I can't imagine they are thrilled with whats going on.

I will re read them, but i am not actually too sure of how much of the apologies were actually aimed at United, seemed more like they were for the club, the fans, dalglish, the owners , the brand.

the point that seems to keep being raised is that United condoned Cantona kicking the palace fan, they clearly didn't
