| Quote ="Tom Brady"They had a shot at winning the North in the last week of the season, now they have a QB and the best special teams in the NFL.'"
That maybe so but they have no picks to improve a relatively average defence. They have no wide recievers so Cutler has not much to work with outside of what they get in the draft.
We have the ability to improve our defence, we played aweful and that is the only area we need to strengthen outside of depth at offensive tackle.
Best special team in the NFL...no
1 TD from a kick-off or punt return all year.
5th in kick return average (24.9 Yards)
28th in punt return average (6.7 Yards)
14th in total points (375)
0 onside kick offs recovered
9th in average kick yards (65.0 Yards)
90% field goal percentage (26 of 29 (7th overall))
28th in punt yards (41.2 Average)

Blocked kicks? kick off coverage? Also take into consideration the elements they play in for half the season.

Blocked kicks- 2 (the same as Green Bay) whether that means they blocked two or had two blocked i don't know.
Kick coverage- they allow an average of 24.4 yards per kick which is 6th.
The elements have no consideration at all. Ridiculous claim, if anything the weather plays into their advantage.

So kicking in gales and kicking in say a dome is the same? I'll leave it there if you honestly believe that the elements have no consideration in a kicking/special teams game there is no point in continuing the debate mate.

No of course not. You said they were the best special teams and i proved that isn't the case. You were effectively saying that the weather is distorting the stats.
Every team has to play in varying conditions. Chicago has bad weather for maybe two games a year.
Are our stats pointless because we play at Lambeau in the winter? Pittsburgh in the rain? New York in the winter?
Of course elements have an influence on stats but in a positive manner for special teams IMO.

We have an equally good QB in Rodgers and a far better offence than Chicago, outside of RB. Our recievers are top notch and Chicago have none.
Chicago's defence was average last year and ours was poor. If we transition to the 3-4 (and get Raji for NT) solidly then i see no reason why we can't beat Chicago and win the division.
The Vikings are pretty good also.'"
How on earth do you come to that conclusion? I haven't checked the stats but Rodgers isn't up with Cutler? Is he?

Firstly A-Rod IMO is at a better level at this stage of his starting career compared to Cutler when he started. They both, still, have alot of potential to develop into elite QB's.
As for stats.
Rodgers has a better completion percentage (63.6 to 62.3)
More touchdowns (28-25)
Less interceptions (13 to 18.)
Better QB rating (93.8 to 86.0)
Better average yards per completion (7.5 to 7.3)
More deep throws (16 passes of 40 yards or more compared to 7)
Rodgers was one of the only stars of our season.

Of course elements are a consideration but in relation to the special teams i don't think as much, if anything it would play into Chicago's hands more than against them.
Such elements are prevelant at virtually all games outdoors. We play in the snow and cold. NY it snows and is cold. Pittsburgh it rains. Miami can be hurricane weather.
Oh, and my name isn't Conners.

Then why did you use the phrase, and these are your words, 'elements are no consideration'? I take it you will concede that was a stupid thing to say. Special Teams involve the ball being kicked high into the air - as a result it will massively be affected be weather you clown.

Well as Rodgers has only started this season it would be pretty difficult to get any meaningful stats for the entirety of his career.
Rodgers was better than Cutler for this season and this is the only season we can base it off.
I really rate Cutler as a QB but i also rate Rodgers highly, that isn't one eyed. It's not like i'm saying Cutler is crap.
I'm sure i can find quotes from people who say Rodgers is a great QB etc.
Of course you are allowed to come and says "Rodgers isn't up there with Cutler" and then completely move the goalposts when i prove your actually wrong.

Yes, potentially a stupid thing to say.

Yes of course, and i've said if anything conditions would help the special teams of Chicago more than hinder it. Therefore conditions aren't the reason that Chicago as a special teams unit aren't "the best in the NFL".

Yes i have a Roosters shirt. Fantastic, you know what i wear and what i look like.

| When push comes to shove, Chicago went 9-7 without a QB and with an average defense while Green Bay went 6-10 with an apparently top notch QB and offense. For what its worth if Chicago can pick up one or 2 toys for Cutler id pen them in as serious contenders.
If the Rams had the choice of Cutler or Rodgers i would prefer Cutler. Hes got that nasty streak in him and carried the Broncos last year. But then again i would pretty much take anyone ahead of Bulger.

A little harsh on Bulger - he was a quality QB, and on form was one of the top 5 QB's in the league in my opinion but his confidence has been destroyed over the past 3 or so seasons with no line to speak of. I can't even recall when we last went through a season without a big injury/several injuries on the offensive line. I don't think he'll ever get back to the form of a few years ago but I hope I'm proven wrong.
As far as Rodgers vs Cutler is concerned, at the moment I would take Cutler but he has the more experience than Rodgers, although you could argue that Cutler didn't have the luxury of sitting behind Favre for a couple of seasons. Either way they're both better than Cassell, but that's another argument altogether....the words rude awakening do spring to mind as regards that though

How have you proved that I'm wrong? How have you proved that Rodgers is a better quarterback than Cutler? I asked you how you formed the view that Rodgers was better than Cutler. I was just asking you to beack up your opinion which you palpably failed to do. You gave a small sample of stats from one season in Rodger's favour (ignoring any in Cutler's which would have helped your argument by making you look more reasonable and merasured). The reason you did that is because statistically, Cutler is better than Rodgers. I notice you didn't provide any analysis whatsoever for the stats, namely, their pants defense meant he was always on the back foot and had to throw more and take more risks. That may be because you don't know what you're talking about though to be fair.
As I've already stated lots of people who know a lot more about the NFL than even you (shudder) are clearly of the same opinion as me e.g. Rodgers isn't fit to fasten Cutler's chin strap. If Rodgers was on the trading block I suspect there wouldn't be a great deal of suitors.
Good to hear you admit you said something potentially stupid. I think you should sign off all of your NFL posts like that.
