Going to watch the MP fight this afternoon.

Fight with Hatton would be good but not sure at 140lbs, Pacman has just moved up from junior lightweight so not sure if he'd want to move up again.

I hope Hatton's next fight will be against Malignaggi and then see where he goes from there.

Hatton will fight Malignaggi in November, that's a certainty, it's the fight after that for Hatton who nobody would be sure of. I think it may be wise for both fighters to have one more fight before taking on each other in the spring/summer 2009. For Hatton he needs another confidence boosting fight and I feel he needs a good performance aswell. Malignaggi is ideal as he'll be quick and tough, but it's a fight that's very winnable. Pacquiao probably needs to fight another top ranked lightweight to make the fight with Hatton more appetising. Hatton said he has been approached by Pacquiao about a possible future fight, so I reckon there's a great chance of it happening next year.

I've no doubt Pacquiao could move up to Jnr Welterweight no problem btw. Apparently he weighed 147lbs for the fight last night! You'll be impressed with his performance against Diaz, no doubt about it. He was excellent.

If you think Hatton will get in the ring with Pacquiao you are seriously deluded, the days of Hatton fighting any of the current, on top their game, fighters is over.

Mayweather sorted that one out - Hatton is a shadow of of the fighter he was earlier in his career.

Whether he is the shadow of his former ability or not (I believe there is still a fair bit left in Hatton btw) that doesn't mean he isn't a big draw in boxing. Hatton wants the big fights, why do you think the De La Hoya fight has been mentioned? Hatton will go for the fights that bring in the most money as he's done everything he could possibly do in his division.

If Pac Man comes calling (and he already has btw) and the demand for it is there then Hatton will go for it, I've no doubt about it.

Hatton is now into hand picking oponents he knows he can beat to protect his legacy, the De La Hoya fight was boxing hype, nothing more.

Why do you think he now fights the drastically overrated Malignaggi? A fight by the way that he could actually lose.

The reason for the Lazcano fight was to gain confidence after his first ever defeat (and what a way to do it, in front of 58,000 fans) and the Malignaggi fight is to win a belt in his division. If Hatton loses to Malignaggi, I'll concede that Hatton is a shot fighter, but I've no doubt he'll beat him very comfortably. His workrate is far too good for Malignaggi, who is over-rated as you say. But, it's a fight that will earn Hatton a decent paycheque.

Hatton's next target after Malignaggi was a rematch with Mayweather, so he still has plenty of ambition. A fight with Pacquiao would not destroy his legacy as it would be against a guy who is ranked as the P4P best in the World now PBF has retired.

In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. Having been away, I've not been able to comment but Margarito v Cotto - What a fight! Two absolute warriors delivered a stunning fight. I'm a fan of Cotto so I was disappointed to see him lose, but Margarito is hard as nails and hit some huge bombs in the fight. Cotto apparently broke his nose in round two and as a result struggled to breath throughout the fight due to internal bleeding. He practically passed out at the end, so it was a great effort from him.

Margarito though, respect. You are one tough SOB.

Thought it was a very good fight myself!

I'm a huge Cotto fan and I have been following him for a ggod while now and I must admit I thought it was a mistake by his camp to put him in with Margarito. Nothing wrong with taking on the best fighters out there, all credit to him. But where Cotto's major fault IMO is Margarito's strength, fitness levels.

Cotto put on a fantastic punch perfect 6 rounds IMO but then after looked tired and unable to to keep Margarito off him. Maybe this did have something to do with a broken nose but its certainly not the first time Cotto has looked tired going into the later rounds.

Margarito is a true warrior! very rarely takes a backwards step and is always aggressive, hardly a mark on his face after fight. Had a pint bet on the fight with my friend which I won but we were both gutted Cotto lost.

I don't see it as a job. It is a passion and love that we all share. Neil Hudgell

Alittle unusual post, compared to the er..usual, but it is kinda related.
I've got an essay for University regarding legal and ethical issues in boxing.
after 2000 words, I never wanna talk about Boxing in my life, ever again.
