Is Formula 1 going boobs up ? It looks like it if the top teams have taken their stuff and decided to go elsewhere but as the FIA own a lot of tracks they could be in trouble by not having nowhere to race.

I'm sure there'll be plenty of tracks that would become available, all the major money pullers Ferrari, McLaren, Red Bull and now Braun are all wanting out, F1 wouldn't be able to compete.
It might not be a bad thing, it'd mean we'd see/hear less of Moseley/Eccelstone and their egos.

If - and it's still a big if - the proposed breakaway does happen, then Bernie Ecclestone will be left with a series featuring Williams, Force India and the three new teams plus anyone else who fancies joining in.
I can't see his commercial partners being too impressed with that in terms of pulling power, particularly if a rival series does get off the ground staging races in the same countries as F1.

They might as well pack up and go home if that happens.

If mad Max had been kicked out of the FIA last year after the Nazi stuff all this wouldn't have happened and now it looks like it could go the way of the IRL in the states that split into 2 and has never recovered from it even though it is back to 1 series.
