It's the same story with your lot every year and you all know it. You struggle (maybe a ploy by the players to make Kenwright sign someone as he's worried?), everybody gets worried that this is the year you'll finally fall flat on your faces, then, after a few months (and plenty of injuries) you kick on and finish top 8.



Might be bad for Everton now, but Rodwell and Barkley are good prospects who'll bring them in big fees if they kick on and woo suitors.

It is interesting that it has taken this long for the true extent of Everton's finances to come to light. Even now, what has been revealed, doesn't quite tie-in with what I was told nearly two years ago. The majority of Everton's debt is owed to Philip Green, not the banks. This is the reason why they have never been able to attract investors, as soon as they look at the books there is a proviso that all monies owed to Green will be paid in full, should Kenwright leave. The extent of the debt is greater than the £45 million being reported, too.

Do Everton still need Arteta? Gonna probably be highest earner, could get £10mil plus, and I'd say CM is probably their strongest area especially with the talent this Barkley is showing.



Give £5mil to the bank, spend £5mil on a striker.

Not surprised as it is £53 per ticket plus there are no trains in the morning (game kicks off at lunchtime).



Taking into account the costs, I could travel up to the Etihad and watch a game for a similar amount.

The reverse is true in my experience. The stewards don't want you to stand but I have not found them aggressive. Meanwhile Spurs fans are aggressive towards away fans.

Does seem unusual for such a big club like Glasgow Rangers going in for a League 2 striker, albeit a prolific one. Mind you Grant Holt was playing at that level 3 seasons ago and look where he is now.

He's scored goals for fun in England but I think he'll have to work harder in SPL. Rangers also interested in Jimmy Bullard I've heard.

Kenwright recently stated Everton are over their credit limit with the bank and so cannot spend any more money on players. He also stated it meant any money received for players would go to the bank, thus why Everton haven't been interested in selling Jagielka, Baines or Fellaini like they may have been previously in order to 'trade' for other players. But having heard Kenwright say this will the bank not now insist they do sell players?

So, does that mean Everton only have a 50:50 chance of signing Suarez now?

He had a couple of dazzling seasons before his retirement for me at Gloucester City in FM.
