Well done. Long time between dances, so enjoy.

Also, fair play to Hampshire. It would have been easy for them to have thrown the towel in after their relegation was confirmed mid-game and gift Warwickshire the title, but they ensured the end result was "real".

To honour Lancashire's incredible achievement I've taken a look at Cricket in film and my five favourite cricket films.

It must have been an incredible feeling to see your team win it in the final hour of the season after such a long wait. Surrey have won it four times in my lifetime, including three in four years, but I've never actually been there for the decisive moment and we've usually wrapped it all up with matches in hand.

It felt pretty good just seeing us secure promotion with an inning victory and a day and a half to spare on a lovely sunny afteernoon at The Oval on Wednesday after a three year spell in the lower division. Opposition number 11 inevitably holes out at long off after connecting with a few big hits, half price beer all round in the pavilion, then a leisurely journey home via some favourite pubs. I hadn't really stopped celebrating by the time we won the CB40 Final at Lord's on Saturday. Three seasons of hopeless failure in all competitions, then four days of glory, and now I can't wait for the next season to start.

And now we've been given a 2013 Ashes Test!! Is there any more good news that we can get at the minute? Mahela Jayawardene is retiring from international cricket to relocate to Salford Quays and play for us? Jim Cumbes is leaving the club?

I see Cardiff has been given an Ashes test despite Glamorgan defaulting on payments to the ECB for the last one.

Is it time the ECB dropped this ridiculous system of forcing counties to put themselves into hock to bid for a Test match? If you've got eight or nine test standard grounds, just spread the games around.

Glamorgan getting an ashes test despite attracting just 929 paying fans on the last day of the Sri Lanka test.
