Fair point about Brady but my point was if Cassell is so highly rated why didn't more people go in for him. The Patriots could easily have got a first rounder (at any stage in the first round) and then traded out for players (Julius Peppers) or traded for multiple picks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. The fact is there wasn't the demand for Cassell so evidently teams like Chicago, Tampa, NYJ who need a QB didn't think he was worth any higher than the 34th pick. Cutler however would definately command potentially multiple first round picks.
I'm not quetioning his credentials as an OC but there is a world of difference between an OC and head coach. I think he will be out of Denver in under 2 years. He, evidently, doesn't have the people skills to deal with an entire team. Also there are examples of people that have excelled with Bellichek (spelt wrong?) and then gone on to be poor coaches. Eric Mangini, Charlie Weis, Romeo Crenell. I'm willing to bet before long McDaniels will be in that group.
