Yorks have more home county born players than any other county

Which makes it all the worse that we feel the need to field such average Kolpaks IMO.

Hopefully the changes in criteria from next season will have a positive effect anyway.

I hope the new rules are strictly enforced but I don't think they will be, I would make each team field at least 9 English qualified players.

For Yorks hopefully Rudi will stay whether that is as OS player or not, I doubt Kruis will stay on another year and Brophy is English qualified but it's only a matter of time until Jonny Bairstow takes over from him.

There's an etc?

You just named our three Kolpak players, so I'm guessing the etc was just mischief making.

Yorkshire have produced one England Test debutant, one England ODI debutant and two further players for the Lions in 2009 so it's a little rich to start questioning their player development.

To be fair, in the last CC game Yorkshire fielded Rudolph, Brophy (not strictly Kolpak to be fair) and Kruis whereas Kent only had 2 in van Jaarsveld and Kemp...Northants had 5 non-England available players though which is outrageous!!

Just arrived at Headingley. Glorious sunshine! Should be a good day's cricket, providing Lancs do well. :-)

Good start for Yorks, they had Lancs 2-2, 37-2 now though.
