I'm still on FM2011, but in the 2018/2019 season with Bristol City. Been there since the start of the game, and been in the Premiership for the majority:
2010/2011: Npower Championship: 5th (won playoffs) FA Cup: 4th round (lost to Tottenham) League Cup: 2nd round (lost to MK Dons)
2011/2012: Premier League: 20th FA Cup: 3rd round (lost to Norwich) League Cup: 3rd round (lost to Ipswich)
2012/2013: Npower Championship: 6th (won playoffs) FA Cup: 4th round (lost to Tottenham) League Cup: Quarter Final (lost to Manchester United)
2013/2014: Premier League: 14th FA Cup: 3rd round (lost to Chelsea) League Cup: Quarter Final (lost to Manchester City)
2014/2015: Premier League: 12th FA Cup: 3rd round (lost to Manchester City) League Cup: 3rd round (lost to Middlesbrough)
2015/2016: Premier League: 8th FA Cup: 6th round (lost to Manchester City) League Cup: Winners (vs Liverpool)
2016/2017: Premier League: 8th FA Cup: Winners (vs Tottenham) League Cup: Winners (vs Chelsea) Europa League: Winners (vs Monaco)
2017/2018: Premier League: 1st FA Cup: Winners (vs Tottenham) League Cup: 4th round (lost to Manchester United) Europa League: Quarter finals (lost to Porto)
Very happy with how everything has gone, currently 34 games into the 2018/2019 season, I'm 1st in the league needing one more win to claim the league title. Won the League Cup against Nottingham Forest and went out of the FA Cup to Manchester United. I lost the charity shield to United as well. I am in the semi finals of the Champions league, set to play Atletico Madrid.
My team at the minute:
Formation (2-4-1-3):
GK: Kevin Bell (regen)
CB: Marco Rossi CB: Chris Smalling
RWB: Serge Aurier/Christian Ribeiro CDM: Lucas Leiva CDM: Fernando Gago LWB: Patrick Van Aanholt
First season done, finished 10th which I was pretty pleased about, but my board has just sold Jack Hobbs who would have become my captain this season for 3million, when I turned down 4million in January, and there's no money in the kitty to strengthen over summer either.

Played a season as Everton, and finished 3rd. Lost the Title on the last day by drawing with Norwich. Even so, was very pleased with the new boys (Drenthe, Stracqualursi and Vellios was fantastic) and have agreed a deal to bring Raul in for next season.
Liking the game - especially the new Team Talk system and Tactic Creator. Think the Interviews could have been edited though.
Ahh well - will be hooked for a few months anyway.

Ended up walking the league and won the Champions League on penalties against Marseille.
For next season I've signed Hulk on a free from Porto (now 32) and Ibrahim Affelay on a free too. Looking to win the league again and retain the CL. Also England manager so qualifying for the Euro's and hopefully win that (as unlikely as it is).

Does it ever happen where it is actually impossible to guide your team from X division to Champions League winners? Does the game have difficulty levels?

No difficulty levels, just every man and his dog seems to have a story about guiding Barnet to the 2016 CL final, beating Barcelona in extra time.

No difficulty levels as such, but if you were to take over a team like Plymouth with no money it would be more difficult to gain promotions and win things due to the fact that you're relying on signing players on frees.

Yeah but the game will eventually guide you to the Premiership, even if you are a complete imbecile. I don't see the challenge anymore. Like andym said, everyone has a tale of guiding a Blue Square North team into the Champions League.
