wouldnt be at all shocked to see uruguay and mexico go through from group a. seen nothing at all from france last night, they were a shambles, weird substitutions, players out of position and reported in-camp fighting.

seen in the paper yesterday someone has got 55k e/w on them to win the tournament at 20/1. to put that much on france to win the world cup would yield a return of roughly 1.5m apparently. if you can afford to have 55k on france in their current situation to win the world cup, then they must be significantly richer than the 1.5m winnings would make them anyway.

Utterly anonymous and only in the side because Malouda offered Domenech outside at a training session and was, unsurprisingly, dropped.

What that French side needs is an injection of flair. It needed a Nasri, a Ben Arfa or a Benzema to come off the bench. But that tit Domenech didn't pick any of them. The man's an árse.

Did ITV not get Davids to do some sort of an interview before offering him a deal for the WC, Desailly is shocking but this is even worse so far. They are making Schmeichels efforts the other year look fantastic!!

Anyone remember Leonardo's stint for the BBC at the 2006 WC? He was superb, guess he doesn't need the work after getting paid off by AC at the end of the season.

The South Africans should have asked England how we managed to fill our stadiums for Euro 1996.

Credit to Adebayor last night but unfortunately his talking speed and level of English meant I struggled to understand him and had to really listen to what he was saying.

After watching the 2 and half games of the world cup so far, how anyone can come out with that statement is beyond me.

At this rate, the world cup will be known as "the muted world cup" The band versus them Vuvzela's tonight should be fun. Come on the band.

Oh, as I speak 2-0 South Korea.

On that occasion, the vuvuzelas would be preferable.

It is, actually like Burley to be honest. He pulls no punches and usually calls it well too, much better than the usual idiots you get.
