If you wear glasses and you are constantly changing your line of vision, the rim of the glasses comes into play, you see things clearly through the centre but not to the side etc. You wouldn't think it would be a problem with darts because the target is a small area but it can be annoying, or at least a minor distraction.
Playing pool with your glasses on is a bloody nightmare!
That seems more than plausible, I could easily see why it affected Taylor and I don't wear glasses.

I'm a big King fan, he's an excellent darts player and doesn't deserve that. It was a bit pathetic last night wasn't it, about to throw a dart for the match and the boo's started, it seemed like 90% of the arena were booing too. It had been a good atmosphere up until that point, even Wade looked a bit embarrassed by it all.

It needs two players in a high profile, televised match to just put down their darts and walk off stage.
If it happens again in another match, the players in that one do the same.
Before long, even the worst of the vexed up idiots will figure out that paying for a ticket and not getting to watch any darts isn't giving them a good night out.
As long as the PDC/BDO condone it with silence and inaction, it's not going to stop.

Something like that isn't to far away from happening imo. It's why I wont go to any more tournaments as these people have totally spoilt the occasion for me. It's bad enough on TV now.

Cracking post mate, well said. It's probably the only action that will change things now, it's getting to a point where something needs to be done because these idiots are spoiling good quality matches, I'm convinced and I may be a bit biased but I really believe King would've nailed that double had the boos not wrung out last night. It's getting worse by the tournament, even Taylor has had the boos this year. That King v Wade match deserved a finish befitting the best match of the tournament so far, instead the idiots did all they could to put Wade off.
It doesn't seem like the governing bodies of PDC will do anything so it may now be down to players to take action against them.

Shame to hear that mate and I can fully see where you're coming from, this is why something needs to be sooner rather than later otherwise the genuine fans will not go and switch off. I won't let the idiots spoil it for me, I still go the Echo Arena for the PL, Blackpool in July and the World Championships each year but the longer it goes on the more genuine darts fans will stop.

Maybe if a couple of players like King and Wade threaten to rejoin the BDO , It could stun Hearn into action. The PDC has the cream of the players but the dregs of an audience .
Ted Hankey's turn tonight, he got the best of the booing and gave a good bit back to the crowd. One part of the problem is when they discuss it on the TV after a game they laugh it off, it gives the impression it's ok. Two different views on it after the matches tonight though, Alan Warriner saying it's part of the game now and players have just got too get on with it, big mistake, sends out the wrong message. I'd like to see if he said the same thing if he had been put off by booing as he threw to win a last 16 game last night or today. Chris Mason's view was like we've said here, it's wrong, out of order and needs to be stopped soon before it's too late.
