David Villa has had a few good efforts as well, he'd look awesome in United Red.
EDIT: Valencia has had an awesome second half, two fantastic crosses and United score twice.
Valencia CF have had to bring their reserve goalkeeper on outfield due to injury.
Believe it or not, I've just got back from the Valencia game. I got a free ticket so I thought I'd go and watch, Valencia are one of my favourite sides outside of England so I won't get many chances to see them, especially for free!
Anyway, David Silva looked very good, passing was classy and his movement and link up play was first class.
One or two others impressed me from Valencia but I didn't know their names so when I find out, I'll give my expert view

Owen had three decent chances, especially the first one from the Rooney pass. Valencia looked very good, no Brown or Vidic for the CS on Sunday.

Typo, etc.

He'll be a step up from Ashbee though, IMO. Still think City missed a trick not trying for Huddlestone, personally.
the man utd v valencia game was actually very good! quick skillful and an open game. rooney should have scored from a valencia(the player) cross early on and owen had four good chances(he should have scored at least two of them) valencia could easily of had two 1st half goals hitting the bar(that would have been some goal!!) and then fluffing a free header inside the 6yrd box valencia made all of their allowed TEN subs at half-time and then early in the 2nd half a player had to come off and(as stated in an above post) the sub goalie came on to play in midfield stand out players:
rooney- utterly world class player
carrick- picked up where he left off last season very consistent
richie de laet(belgian youngster i think?) played right back and was very good. especially going forward!
antonio valencia- had a cracking game! quick and strong and will get better as season goes on. set up rooney with a quality cross
tom cleverly- another youngster that looked confident. very cool finish
foster and cushak(sp) got a half each. foster did'nt really have owt to do cushak made a superb save early on in the 2nd half
owen- ran great angles as always clever front man. once he gains more match fitness and gets his sharpness back he will without doubt score goals for man utd!
living in cornwall (result) not watching the saints (very very bad!)

I expect these three to be regarded as 'world class' by Red Cafe before the end of the week. Valencia is probably regarded as 'world class' already by the posters on that forum.
On teh subject of Van Der Saar: I think he;'s going to be a huge miss for United. Foster and Kuszcack (sp?) are simply not good enough for a team who will be looking to win the league. They are decent enough back-ups but 2 / 3 months is a long time.
