3-3 it finishes.
Probably a fair result, Villarreal played well and didn't deserve to lose, although the penalty was wrong IMO, plain wrong and it spoilt the match in a way.
Great game, without doubt the most entertaining I've watched this season.
Everytime I see young Mata, I can't help but shake my head in disgust at how Madrid let him leave on a free, whoever made that decision should be sacked.

Villarreal thoroughly deserving of their point and certainly one of the best games I've seen all season. In spite of Valencia's recent good touch, I maintain they'll never get anywhere with Renan in goal. Useless Brazilian flap merchant.

I can't argue that .at all. Cracking game and a draw was the fairest result. Valencia should be gracing the champions league with their presence next year by rights.
We're the first ones to starve, we're the first ones to die The first ones in line for that pie-in-the-sky And we're always the last when the cream is shared out For the worker is working when the fat cat's about

You should have heard the Gol Tv commentator banging on about how he was "world class" and bigging up almost everything he did as "brilliant" my wine nearly ended up all over the laptop* on a number of occasions!
*erm so I've been told, of course I was watching the game via perfectly legal means on TV via the wonderful SKY Sports
Atlético 3-1 down to Athletic at home with 20 minutes left.
I don't know what Aguirre does with them during the xmas break but this is the third (out of three) season in a row that the team have come back a shadow of what they were leading into it, sounds like the whole stadium is calling for his head.

I read that he had them training really hard over the Christmas period and they may be suffering from heavy legs. He needs to sort it out, though, they're far too easy to play against at the moment.
