Such as 2 new dominant centre halves and a central midfield playmaker with Nicky Platt's return. A couple of old boys have returned too in Moses and Torpey. Add the signing of Norton to get us some goals hopefully and we are more optimistic this time. The trick at this level is keeping your bench/back up players happy so they don't leave. Kendal are my tip though.
Kendal, never seen my team play them before, they like to play football, should be another tough team, the play offs will do for me though. i am confident if we finish high in the play offs,
Bootle's pre season kicked off with a nice 1-0 win at home to Prescot last night. Lost a couple of players over the summer, Anthony Hickey to Warrington being the biggest blow. Expecting the same sort of season as last, a push towards the top of the table and hopefully a promotion spot with a couple of good cup runs, FA Vase run would be nice

we have a few more players in the attack and midfield this season, i am hoping that we can start the season with the promotion team from last season.
i am expecting some tough games against you though, especially New Years Day when we go about breaking the league attendance record.
Norton is ok, he never scored against us but you dont score 40 goals a season and not be good.
i beleive we have some of your old players, didnt Garner and Vardey used to play for you, if so what can we expect from them???
Si Garner was very good at left back in his first season, really consistent. In his second season he had a couple of indifferent games and one against Stalybridge in the cup when their winger roasted him and it affected his confidence. We then signed a better full back and Si got the odd game in midfield but it didn't work out for him. New Year's day should be a bit special.

you might have to stand or sit with the shaymen fans Cartman, the North Stand at the shay is no longer safe so won't be opened, so your options might be the new East stand, the south stand, not too sure they will open the Skircoat stand for ya.
depends how large your away support is really, we did accomodate the away fans in the South stand throughout last season with no problems.
i can't wait for that game, i couldnt have picked a better date for the game

Our definition of what constitutes a 'proper football ground' must be a little different, couldn't wait to get away from the place!

yeah it is very different, my definition of a football ground though is playing on a full size pitch, that isnt on the side of a mountain, also without big mole hills in the middle of them

although our pitch was starting to look like a sand pit towards the end of last season so maybe some would say were not perfect
And it was liked a cabbage patch in the middle of the season! Add the fact you're on the side of a mountain, one (soon to be two?) of your stands are condemned and it's not looking good....

What you should be worried about is the people who sponsor him. Two seasons ago, they had Darren Kelly. Last season it was Andy Ferrell. So Meredith will probably end up getting offloaded midway through the season to Gateshead or someone.
