There but for the grace of God go United, especially if the Glazer's hadn't refinanced Red Football's loans when they did (which was just before the banking system imploded).
What makes United's position amazing is that, had they beaten Barca (and arguably without having done so), we've have just had the most successful 3 year period in the clubs history and have just secured (another) world record kit sponsorship deal. The Glazers would have been the perfect owners if you ignore the little matter of crippling debts...
